Cool Math Addition Lessons

Seven on-line lessons to help students understand the process of addition. It is designed for parents and children to use together.

Fact Dash

This McGraw-Hill site offers you the chance to practice yur basic facts. Click on the link and choose the operation you wish you wish to practice, then choose the level of difficulty you want. Close the brwser window to return to this page.

Highrise Math

This link allows you to practice both addition and subtraction facts. Start by clicking on the die and answer the problem correctly and watch the ball travel up and down the highrise buildings. The first one to the top of the building wins, but be carefull a wrong answer will send you back to the beginning. Close the browser to come back to this page.

Visit this site for interactive addition practice. On-line manipulatives are available for each problem if you need them.

See how many addition problems you can answer in one minute.

Hidden Picture Addition

Choose the correct answer to the given addition problem from the puzzle board. If the answer is correct a piece of the puzzle will be revealed. The Number Monster

This game has a variety of skill levels games to choose from. Beginners should click on the "easy" button to display a problem, type their answer and click the "???" button to check. Simply close the browser on the page to return to this page.

Calculator Addition Game

Use this on-line calculator to solve addition and or subtraction problems. Use the pull down menu buttons at the top of the page to set "practice" or "game" mode (game mode is timed activity). Tell Me the Time

With this program, you can practice setting the time on two types of clocks:

* A clock with hands, called an analog clock
* A clock with numbers only, called a digital clock

Time Concentration

This game of concentration asks sudents to match analog clocks to digital times. A fun may to test their knowledge of time and the ability to remember locations.

Buzzing with Shapes

Let's Go Shopping

The Money Program teaches you how to use coins and bills when you pay for something. The program asks you for a specific amount of money. You drag and drop different coins and bills into a blue box until it contains the correct amount. When you are done, you ask the program to check your answer. The program lets you know if your answer is correct.

Counting Money

Counting Money features a variety of counting coin problems. Students are asked to count different coin combinations and type in the amount. If answer is correct students can move to the next combination, written clues are provided when answer is incorrect.

A space station is running out of power and needs your help to refuel. It's a fun way to practice math facts. Students can choose addition, subtraction, multiplication or division.

The Counting Game

Learning to skip count can be more fun than you think. This site allows you to decide what number to count by (2s,3,etc.)Students click on the numbers in correct order to score points.
